Mac OS X Leopard February 10, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I always snag David Pogue's Missing Manual when I update to the next Mac operating system. That is how I get acquainted with any new features. And always learn something new about features I already had. And have a trouble-shooting reference. This one is excellent as always.
MUST READ February 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have bought at leat 10 of these books for myself and others whom I have turned on to macs. David Pogue is a spirit guide through the intricasies of a complex OS that not many can master quickly. I wish he were one of my relatives so i could call him once a week!!! Every page reveals a new shortcut that I have been blind to in 20 years of apple!
excellent reference book February 9, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
There is a wealth of information in this manual! It should be required reading for anyone new to the Mac operating system. And there is plenty of great information for those of us who have been using Apple computers for a while, too!

Although the book is huge, it is well written. Really like his sense of humor. Well index, easy to find what you need to know now.
Just what I needed! February 9, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Already, this book has helped me uncover some needed features that were obscure and hard to find on my own. There are quite a few things done differently in Leopard from previous releases, and this book helped me get the answers to my questions quickly. I got more out of this book than I expected. I bought it primarily just to have a reference book, but it really came in handy when I needed to have answers to obscure questions.
