2 out of 5 stars Not super happy!   October 13, 2008

This MAC version doesn't have some of the features of the Windows version but that isn't clear until you use it for awhile. I feel a bit cheated.

4 out of 5 stars Needs More Options   October 3, 2008

Nice piece of software, but is limited. I have worked with several of the Adobe products and all do a nice job by allowing the user to make adjustments to photos. Personally, I thought this was a little pricey for the options that it gave. I was hoping that I could do all of my adjustments within the framework of this software, but instead find myself importing and exporting my photo from one piece of software to another. iPhoto even has several options that this doesn't. I feel that the Adobe products are over hyped and then in this case offer little. On the Windows side, Microsoft's Picture It even has some options that this doesn't. One basic that I think this is missing is the ability to stitch photos together for a panoramic effect. To do this I had to obtain Cannon's PhotoStitch. My suggestion is that there are several pieces of out there for free. Obtain them first, then if you really need this, forget it. Go to CS3.

5 out of 5 stars Are pictures for Kids?   October 1, 2008

I bought this for my 16 year old grand daughter. She loves taking pictures and this gives her a way to manipulate them. She loves the program. What a great starting point, however I can see CS3 in the near future.

5 out of 5 stars Much better than expected   September 30, 2008

I had the use of full Photoshop software at work and found it so useful that I wanted to use it at home. My fear was the Photoshop Elements would not have all the features that I was used to. I am knocked out by Elements. I haven't begun to use all the features that it offers and nothing I used at work is missing. I was also pleased that Amazon could sell me the product for $20 less than the standard price--OK, OK, so I had to pay shipping, it was still cheaper. Buy it. You'll love it.

5 out of 5 stars Photoshop bargain   September 29, 2008

Photoshop Elements is a brgain version of the full Photoshop software. It provides all the functionality I need, and then some, at a fraction of the cost. If your thinking of buying Photoshop, look carefully at the features of the full version versus Elelments to make sure you're not spending money on features you don't need.
